Geraldina Wise & Judy Nyquist are being honored for their contribution to the public art scene in Houston. Co-chairs of the first public art committee of the Buffalo Bayou Partnership Board, they gave a second life to the Cistern as a unique historic and industrial site, and as an art installation venue. The Cistern is the newest tourist attraction in Houston.
